The world’s largest LED light sculpture. With over 25,000 LEDs strung along nearly 5 miles’ worth of vertical suspension cables, the The Bay Lights project, from artist Leo Villareal, will illuminate San Francisco’s Bay Bridge nightly for the next two years.
Villareal developed custom software to generate the glowing patterns and formations that will illuminate the bridge from dusk to midnight. Taking inspiration from patterns found in nature and the Bay’s surrounding environment - the waves and wind in the San Francisco Bay, the traffic flowing over the bridge - Villareal’s algorithms will produce unique configurations that will never repeat.

one of my favourite bits in new vegas is the first time you get to nipton and vulpes and his ‘krew’ exit the nipton town hall like a boy band coming out on stage
that is exactly what it always looks like to me and with all the smoke and fires it’s like smoke machines/strobe lighting then vulpes starts his speech which i can’t take seriously because to me he’s just the lead singer in a boy band now

As a society, we are fascinated by fictional psychopaths. Humankind has an ‘ongoing… fascination with tales of gruesome murders and evil villains.’ Popular culture abounds with depictions of the mad and the bad; and aberrant psychology has proved a fertile source of such material to the novelist and the reader alike. Perhaps no single disorder holds as much morbid cultural appeal as psychopathy…
‘There is no question… that readers feel empathy with (and sympathy for) fictional characters and other aspects of fictional worlds’, yet it is difficult to see how one can empathise and identify with a character who is himself incapable of empathy. If empathy and identification are both the goal and the reward of reading literature, then we are left with a striking ambivalence which needs to be explored. (x)

Skyrim Pipboy 3000
I sometimes wish that Tamriel had Pipboy 3000s, just so I can listen to Galaxy News Radio while killing dragons all over Skyrim…
