Hear this: R.A. Dickey is the first knuckleball pitcher to EVER win a Cy Young Award. He’s the third Mets pitcher to win a Cy Young Award and the first since 1985.
I think it’s time for a follow-up to his memoir!

Can someone please explain to me how someone who missed a major chunk of his team’s game in the first half of the season got voted as a starter for the National League All-Star team over a guy who has missed maybe a handful of his team’s games?! I am completely baffled by this. Which means I guess…
Wait wait. Freese should be STARTING? Okay no. I see Freese’s .279/.330/.479 line and I raise you David Wright’s .354/.447/.560. So yeah no. Great story, love the whole playoff run, the game six thing is really wonderful and they should throw him his own parade in St. Louis…but no.
